BACK AGAIN
Hi today is the second day of Spring, and I haven't been on, another sad thing has happen on November 18th my father in law past away at the age of 62 for month after my dad. my husband's dad was a drinker that's why Jimmy never really drinks. On a Sunday his dad woke up with pains on both of his legs he couldn't even get out of bed much less walk.
On Monday morning they took him to the doctor and the doctor said he had fluid in both of his legs he needs to have them drained out and they have to take him to the hospital. When he got there they put Jimmy's dad in a room when they should of taken him to the ER, when the nurses try to put his dad in bed the bed wasn't locked and it moved and they dropped his dad. That hospital did so man things wrong.
His poor dad was in so much pain, then to find out that his dad was on stage 4 of sorsis of the liver when poor Jimmy didn't tell him anything his mom said she did but I told Jimmy you don't forget something like that. He past away on a Wednesday on Nov 18th at 11:18am that was weird. I thought I done seeing anyone else take there last breath I don' t even know I made it through another death it was so sad it brought back memories of my dad.
My dad has been gone almost 8 months no one day goes by that I don't think about him I miss him so much what gives me comfort is know that he is not in pain anymore.
I have been reading, what has help me read is that my friend and I want to see how many books we can read this year we didn't do to good last year. You would think she would be reading to see how many books she can read but it seems like she wants to read more books then me she is a head of me three books so I better get on the ball. I will post later and write down the name of the books I have read so far and what I am reading now.
As for my novels they are so good I will post some pictures of the ones I am watching and give my take on what I like and dislike about them. Until then I will be back soon
Happy Reading

START OVER
Hi Everyone!
I know that It has been a long time since I last posted now that things have clam down some, well at least I hope they did. I am back posting what I have read and also I still watch my Spanish soaps those two are what have kept me going.
Three months ago my father past away at the age of 85 he had Parkinson's which he suffer so much he was in so much pain it came to the point were we couldn't take care of my dad so we had to do the hardest thing which was put him in a nursing home he hated there and wanted to come home which broke my heart. In Feb he got sick and caught pneumonia, we knew if he were to get it again he would not make it.
On Fathers day he had a cold which again turned into pneumonia he past away July 31st we were all there.I never in a million years thought that I would see my dad take his last breath, I could see how much he had been suffering so when he died I left a piece come over me just know that he is in a better place and not suffering though I miss him and there are times I forget his is gone, I remember going to the nursing home I would tease him and say OK don't bother me I am going to read.
He knew how much I love books he would always tell me how many books do you have three hundred I said no not that much he said but I'm close.I got a netbook which I love so much it's mostly for the Internet to be honest I totally forgot about my blogg since I hardly went on the computer then it hit my yeah I can start working on it again. So here I am I have read 31 books this year which I was hoping to read more I am hoping to read 50 so that is my goal wish me luck.
As for my Spanish soaps Old ones finish and new ones starts that's what I like about them I am watching a couple of them now. I have to put new pictures up so come back and see what I have done.
Until thenHappy

NOW THIS BOOK I DID ENJOY READING

My Review on ~
Sleeping With Ward Cleaver by Jenny Gardiner
******************************************************
I saw this at the book store, I held off on getting it, I wanted to see the reviews on it, and see what other readers thought about this book. There wasn't that many reviews, so I decided to read it anyway. I am so glad that I did :-) It has me laughing the whole way through. You know how sometimes you need a book just to make you laugh feel good afterwards. This is the book that did for me. I am happy to say, I give this book 5 star plus.
Happy Reading Lisa
I'M SORRY TO SAY I DID NOT ENJOY THIS BOOK AT ALL

I'm a little late on my reviews for my February Read.
My Review on "White Woods by Maeve Binchy
*********************************************
I don't even know where to start. I have only read two books by Maeve Binchy one of them is called Tara Road, I didn't now enjoy it at all. Whitehorn Woods is the second book by her that I have read. When I first saw Whitehorn Woods it look like it was going to be a good read, I thought I would give this author another chance on reading one of her books. I did not enjoy this one. There was to many characters and I couldn't keep up with who's who. I just wanted this story it end which I never thought it would. I am sorry to say I give this book 1 1/2 stars.

WOW I KEEP WANTING TO READ TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

My Review on "Secrets In The Attic" by V. C Andrews
Wow this is all I can say a very tense book, knowing wanting to know what is going to happen next. Do you think that you could be a best friend to someone who needs it. Someone who committed a crime, be there for them no matter. Zipporah and Karen have been best friend, there friendship goes on this wild ride. Karen has killed her step father, She is hiding in Karen's parents attic. They are trying to put pieces together on what really happen. I really enjoyed this book I give it 5 star plus.

A VERY GOOD READ

My Review on "Cry No More" by Linda Howard
I have only read a couple of books by Linda Howard and she has not disappointed yet. I was reading the reviews on this and most of them said you will need to have tissues handy. They were right, throughout out the book I kept hoping that she would find her son. I thought how can she not look what she has gone through. You just never know what waits a head good or bad, but at least there will be closure. I give this book 5 stars.

I FELT LIKE I WAS ON A ROLLER COASTER

My Review for "Unmasked" by Virginia Henley
I read this book back in Sept of 2005, I never did finish it. What I did remember from the book, I was enjoying it. I don't know what happen, why I never did finish it. I have always wanted to get back to it but other books on in the way. I finally had the chance to read it. When I first started reading it, I thought boy this is going to be good read, and it was up until the middle of the book. That's when the hate, love relationship started. I hate you, no I love you, I wanted to scream make up your mind!! I felt like I was on a roller coaster ride. By the end all I wanted to do was get off and never get back on. I never thought is would finish. I am kind of disappointed because it did look like a good read. I am giving this book a 31/2 stars.

IT'S RAINING IN CA!!
I was sitting here trying to read Cotillion by Georgette Heyer, the more I am reading the more I am not liking it. You know when a book starts of slow but then it gets better, well it did'n't happen with this book. I could not get into this book. It got good reviews, but I am not enjoying it!! So I said forget that, I will read "Highlander In Her Dreams" by Allie Mackay. The same thing happen here, I said oh not again :-( I gave it more of a chance I read 7 chapters by this time I am pulling out my hairs LOL :)
Now I am going to try and read "Cry No More" by Linda Howard, I hope this one is a winner. I read "Unmasked" by Virginia Henley when it first came out but I never did finish it. Not because It wasn't good, in fact I did enjoy what I did read :-) I thought it would be my TBR Challenge. Wish me Luck with these two books.
I'M IN LOVE DON'T TELL HUBBY!! LOL :-)

Reading Weekend
With Christmas, New Year, my husband and son being off at work I get all confuess on what day it is LOL :-) My Son will be at my Dad's until Sunday and if they don't work on Monday then I will go get him then. Hubby is not feeling well, and I am still having problems with my left ear being plugged, and my allgeries are not helping, it's driving me crazy we made a doctors appointment at 2:50pm.
I am already starting the New Year off bad!! I haven't been able to read, with me not feeling that great with my allgies, and doing this and that. We have no plans this weekend. I have always wonder how some people can get two or three books going on at the same time, I can barley get on book much less two three is pushing it for me. I did it with my last three reads, so I am going to try and do it again. I know as I go along I am going to tell myself what did I get myself into LOL.
We are waiting for the rain to come. Tonight my Spanish Soaps are going to be on :-) Boy I am I lucky and thankful for DVR. I also watch my Spanish Soaps durning the day, I know what your thinking where do I find time to watch all thsoe and when do I find time to read, and keep up with my house work. I have been doing it for so long now that I am use to it. The ones that I DVR in the morning sometimes I will fast forward them.
Well I am off to watch my Spanish Soaps and get ready to go to the doctors.

NEWS YEARS DAY 2008
I hope everyone enjoyed there New Years, and enjoying spending time with there families and loved ones. This is the first year in a long time that I watched the Rose Parade the whole way through. I have always wanted to go to the Rose Parade, when I was younger I even wanted to help out. I bet the floats look really nice in person.
I enjoyed the seeing the Alhambra Float, I grew up there my dad still lives there. None of my Spanish Soaps were on how sad, at least I got some reading done. I have written reviews on the three books I read for Dec reads. I know three books, there were a lot more but I didn't keep track on them so I thought I would just start these 3. For 2007 my three favorite books, are "Kite Runner" "Water For Elephants" " The Pillars Of The Earth" three great books!!!

My Dec 2007 Reads

The Pillars Of The Earth ~
WOW, WOW!!! If it wasn't for Oprah picking this for her book club pick, I would have never read it on my own, it's not something I would read. I am so grateful for her book club pick. I enjoyed most of the characters, except for two William and Alfred, I would get so mad the way he would treat his sister Martha and his stepbrother Jack, at times I didn't know who was worse, I wanted to strangle them both. I did enjoy the other characters, reading this book made me feel like a part of the family I could feel when they were happy and when they were sad. When I had finish reading it, I had to take it all in with a smile on my face, I could not stop thinking about them. Out of 1 to 5 stars I give this book 5 stars plus.
***********************************************************
"When A Lady Misbehaves by Michelle Marcos A friend of mine had mention this book to me she said it looks like it will be a good read, so I thought I would try it out. She also wanted to read it, but didn't know what to think, on how the story would start off where it would lead to or how it would finish. When I was done reading it, I had to thank my friend for kind of talking me into reading this book, I was not disappointed. I enjoyed April Jardine's Character, she had me laughing on the things she would get herself into, No wonder the title is called When A Lady Misbehaves, it suits her just fine. I fell in love with Reily. A good read out of 1 to 5 stars I give this book 4 stars.
**********************************************************************************

"Mirror Image"
I loved this book. It's about two twins, they are exactly the same and in other ways there are totally opposite. Oliva, is the family type with a husband, kids and a white picket fence. Victoria on the other hand is the risky type she loves Adventure, Danger she is a spare of the moment kind of Women. It has been a long time that I have cried over a book, until now. It was such a heart warming and sad story, but with all that they go through it was an enjoyable book. Out of 1 to 5 stars I give this book 5 start plus.

Soaps VS Spanish Soaps
I use to watch ABC Soaps, CBS Soaps NBC Soaps, Days Of Our Lives was my all time favorite soap, I even when to a luncheon in June 200. I had a blast meeting the ones that were there. I was getting tired of the same the thing over and over nothing never changes. With my Spanish soaps they go on for a while, it has a start a middle and an ending. I thought I had fun at the Days Of Our Lives Luncheon, that was nothing. One of my favorite Spanish Soaps, "Pasion de Gavilanes" ( Passion Of Handsome) In May 203 I went to the Soap Festival along with NBC soaps. I meet the ones that played the three brothers and the ones that played the three sisters. Since then I have watched a lot of Spanish soaps. One of my Spanish soaps that I am enjoying right now is called Pasion, that is the picture in the front. On youtube I have put some videos so you can somewhat get an idea on what I watch.
When I am reading a book, I get the Characters from my Spanish soaps, that helps me enjoy the book so much better.
I have tried to keep a reading log and what books I have read through out the year and I do good until the middle of the year and little by little I start to lack off and just stop doing it all together, For 2008 I am going to keep track on what I read and let you know if I enjoyed it or not.
